Events and Happenings

The Norwich Business Improvement District hosts several exciting events throughout the year. In addition, the BID is a proud supporter of the various signature events of Norwich; such as the Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, the Chenango Blues Festival, Colorscape Chenango and the Pumpkin Festival

BID Annual Meeting, To be announced for 2012

Lunchtime LIVE! July 19, 2012 - August 30, 2012, 12-1 PM, East Park, Norwich: This if the BID's lunch and music in the park summer concert series. Grab your lunch and lawn chair and come enjoy the live entertainment in the park! The Norwich BID in conjunction with the Farmers’ Market is pleased to present the Lunchtime LIVE! Lunch and Music in the Park Concert Series. All concerts are FREE and open to the public, rain dates are the following day (Thursday). All performances take place in the bandstand in East Park from 12 noon to 1 pm.

Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony, November 29, 2012, West Park, Norwich:
Sing along with the children from Perry Brown Intermediate School as they kick off the holidays in downtown Norwich. At the conclusion of the event, Santa and his helpers push the magic buttons and the downtown parks become illuminated with hundreds of lights.

Santa's Igloo:
A bit of the North Pole comes to town as the Christmas holiday approaches. Young and old alike are invited to come visit Santa in his igloo - located in the bandstand/gazebo in East Park. The Igloo will open the evening of November 24…will also be open November 29th through the 22nd. Friday’s 5-8 pm and Saturdays 1-4pm
